Wokey... straight to the point. Just nak add some information on my journey to Hatyai & Krabi on the last 29/12/12- 1/1/13 (4 days 3 nights). Rasanye dah ramai blogger yg share on this so aku just note down on the important and latest information saje lah, especially bagi sape2 yg nak driving...heheh...jom meredah!
This time, 4 of us travel (Joe, La, Cda and me). We started our journey to Sitiawan (rumah bf i) from KL on the 28/11 around 1130pm. Ni sebab tunggu Cda yg dtg dr Kuantan (kesian die sbb driving lg jauh)....xpe semangat punye pasal. Siap kene kacau antu kat karak highway huhu. We reached CTAwan around 2am and tido jap before we start travelling to 1st point bukit kayu hitam (BKH) immigration.
Day 1
The travelling from CTAwan to BKH tooks us around 4 hrs (plus 1/2hr breakfast break at R&R bukit merah). Next stop at R&R Gurun for car insurance & white pass. Better buat kat sini compare to Changlun sebab x ramai orang and lebih cepat sbb pakai computer yg lebih systematic. The exact location of this kedai insurance is next to Caltex at the Gurun R&R. Most important to bring
1) Geran kereta (photocopy accepted). But for the safety purpose when you enter Thai border better bring the original and preferable with the latest update on the road tax purchased. Buat copy lebih skit incase dekat immigration or roadblock nak copy of your geran/car certificate.
2) International passport - to issue white card (compulsory to all passport holder)
3) Car Insurance RM15/7 days and white card RM/1 per person. kejap aje nak buat ni semua..x sampai 15mnt settle.
4) If you drive a car not belong to you, please prepare an authorization letter with the signature of the car owner. Immigration Thai memang akan check ni betul2....silap gaye x lepas masuk sbb diaorg bole claim kereta curi...haha
Once dah siap, akan dpt insurance cover, insurance sticker and white passes. Bole teruskan perjalanan ke BKH which takes around 1.5 hrs from Gurun R&R. Selain dr BKH, bole jugak through border kat Perlis (Wong Klian).
What to do when you reached BKH immigration?
Sampi je BKH, just go through the Malaysia immigration (x payah turun kete) and bg semua passport penumpang. Smile, say thank you and proceed to Thai immigration (dekat bangat <5mnts). Jgn terus bawak masuk kerete tp park dkt dedicated parking area di belah kiri Thai border. Semua kene turun and proceed to the immigration counter for Border Pas/Passport chop, jgn lupe bawak white card skali k. Yang x best kene bg dioarg ni sehengget bg setiap passport (katanye utk claim keje lebih masa- AKU TAK PAHAM).
Next the driver kene pegi plak declare car matters kat counter di bahagian tengah (for CAR). bring your passport and the insurance. Once ok, you will recieved satu salinan pass kereta and kene sign. Sape2 yg bawak kete org lain, masa ni la kene bg authorization letter yg aku mentioned earlier. make sure simpan baik2 car pass ni sbb kalau balik x dipulangkan/declare makanye denda 100 Tbh sehari dikenekan selagi x dtg return the pass....hehehe..cara nak return i will inform later once keluar dr Thai.Memang pelik benor org Thai ni punye arrangement...fuhhh...panas!
Alhamdulillah....around 1/2 hr kitaorg settle and ready to enter Thailand!Kalau nasib x baek may takes up to 2hrs just to lepas the immigration sbb ramai org. So, better survey masa nak p cuti ckolah ke tak or ade ape2 celbration ke utk jimatkan masa anda dgn immigration.
Next, we proceed to pekan Danok just after passing the Thai border untuk beli internet card...yuhuuuu. Penting tau internet or GPS sbb Thai ni nampak sempoi tp x byk signboard and ade a few option of route to Hatyai/Krabi. Pakai GPS lg baek dr mengelakan jln2 kampung yg agak suram dan berliku.Kalau masuk area town cam Hatyai/Krabi GPS/tenet sgt membantu.Ok, nakbeli card x susah...singgah je kat kedai2 jual handphone or kat SEVEN 11 area danok tu. Harga pon murah...beli card 690TB and topup 100TB. lebih kurang 20 hengget la semua tu. Currency masa ni RM1 = TB9.8
Bole la singgah beli makanan sket kat danok ni (ade gerai2 yg jual halal food kat deretan kedai) sbb along the way to hatyai xde tempat berenti (kene cari2 restoran yg halal) agak susah sbb kawasan kampung. After dah ready semua ni, jom memacu ke next point kami ....KRABI. But in the next entry..
